Papierblüten / Paperblossoms

Ich sehne mich nach dem Frühling... wärmende Sonnenstrahlen und blühende Wiesen (ja ich vermisse sogar meinen Heuschnupfen ein wenig ). Deshalb hab ich heute eine Tischdeko aus Blumen gemacht. Da es bei uns im Garten noch an Frischware mangelt hab ich sie mal wieder aus Papier hergestellt. Also ran an die Scheren und den Tisch mit Fakeblüten dekorieren.

Gebraucht wird:
(buntes) Seidenpapier
ein Glas
ein Bleistift
eine Schere
eine Stecknadel
kleine Holz- oder Glasperlen
dünner Basteldraht
(evt. ein Teelicht)
So wirds gebastelt:
1) Das Seidenpapier so oft in jeweils in der Mitte falten bis das Glas gerade noch platzt hat.
2) Mit dem Bleistift den Umriss des Glases auf das Papier zeichnen und den Kreis auschneiden.
3) Die so entstandenen Kreise jeweils zweimal falten, so dass sie geviertelt sind.
4) Nun die zwei oberen Ecken abrunden. Je unterschiedlicher dies gemacht wird desto spannender werden die Blüten.
5) Ein Stück Draht abschneiden. Sollen die Blüten einfach auf dem Tisch liegen sollte der Draht in etwa gleich lang sein wie der Durchmesser der Blüte. Soll die Blüte um das Glas gewickelt werden (um ein Windlicht oder eine Vase zu verzieren) muss der Draht etwas länger sein als der Umfang des Gefässes.
6) Die Perle auf den zugeschnittenen Draht auffädeln und in die Mitte schieben.Ein Ende zum anderen klappen und die Perle festdrehen.
7) Die Blütenblätter auffalten und aufeinander legen (ich hab immer 2 bis drei Lagen genommen, damit das Licht noch etwas durchscheint) und mit der Stecknadel ein Loch in die Mitte stechen.
8) Den Draht durch das Loch in allen Lagen fädeln und entweder den Draht um das Gefäss schlingen und enden verdrehen ( wenn das ganze trotzdem runterrutscht einfach ein zweites Stück Draht über die Öffnung des Gefäss legen und mit dem "Ring" verschlingen). Oder die Enden nach links und rechts spreizen und leicht nach oben biegen um der Blüte etwas Form zu verleihen.
Aufm Tisch verteilen, Teelichter anzünden und den Hauch Frühlingsstimmung in vollen Zügen geniessen

I'm longing for spring... I'm longing for spring so badly that i made some paperblossoms today, and because I think they turned out quite beautifully here's the how-to :)

The needed materials are:
tissue Paper
a glass
a pencil
scissors
a pin
small wood or glass beads
thin craftingwire
(a tealight)
How to do it:
1) Fold the tissue paper in half as many times as you can, so your glass just fits on it.
2) Use your pencil to trace the outline of the glass and cut it out.
3) Fold all of the circles you just cut twice so you got quarters of the circle.
4) Round the edges on all your folded circles. The more those cuts differ the more interesting the shapes of your petals get.
5) Cut a piece of wire. If you just want to lay your blossoms out the wire needs to be a little bit longer than the diameter of your circle. If you wanna attach it to a jar or a glass (to use it as a nicely decorated tealightholder or a vase) the wire needs to be a bit longer as the circumference of the container.
6) thread the bead and push it to the middle of th ewire. bend the wire in half (so both ends meet) and twist the bead a couple of times to fixate it.
7) Unfold your petals and place them over each other ( I put two to three over one another to let the light shine through). Use the pin to make a hole in the middle of all your petals.
8) Put the wire with the bead on it through the hole. If you use it to decorate a jar or a glas put each wireend halfway aound it and twist the ends to keep it in place. (if it keeps slipping down use a second piece of wire which you put over the glass (see picture)). If you use your blossoms to lay on the table split the ends of the wire in opposite directions and bend them slightly upwards to give the blossom a form.
Now spread on the table and enjoy the spring feeling
